Serenzo Classico represents a classic solid floor that is sanded and surface-treated. Epoca takes us back to past centuries. The longer ago the century, the older the floor appears. Therefore, Epoca 1900 has a structured surface, Epoca 1800 is not only structured, but the edges have also been purposefully aged.
Serenzo country product range is characterised by its natural appearance. The knottiness and colour variations are just as in the wood when it was growing as a tree. Noblesse is a select range for those who enjoy a quieter atmosphere but do not want to do without the naturalness of wood. Prima consists of select wood with no branchs and only slight colour nuancing. Walnut and Cherry are not graded.
A design aspect of the aged castle floor is that it is a no-worry, maintenance-free floor. This comes through the fact that the floor no longer needs to be sanded, which would ruin the "old" patina, while the dents and scratches of normal wear and tear actually contribute to its beauty. The no-worry nature of this floor arises from the regular irregularity of the distressing. Nothing is so annoying as the first dents and/or scratches (damage) in a newly laid, smooth floor.
The floor's ease of maintenance is the result of first impregnating the floor, then finishing it with lactic acid-resistant hard wax oil, reinforced with silicic acid. The silicic acid, an oxidic substance derived from glass, forms a glaze layer over the oily components, making the floor more resistant to abrasion. The floor may be swept and / or vacuumed, and it is possible to clean it using be wet-mopped, however, as you will soon find yourself wondering where all the water has gone. If there are observable blemishes, we recommend rubbing away the blemish using a scotch brite, dipped in the silicic acid-reinforced hard wax maintenance oil, after which the excess silicic acid-reinforced hard wax oil should be removed using the sponge side. The aging of the planks is based on a proprietary process.
